The Dire Dawa Children and Friends International Association is a community of those who were nurtured in the warmth of Dire Dawa’s blessings, who grew up surrounded by her love, who learned and thrived in her embrace and in other cities of Ethiopia — as well as those now scattered across the world, yet forever bound by their shared affection for her.

To lift our beloved, forgotten city of Dire Dawa from the shadows of hardship, to meet every challenge with unyielding resolve until its burdens are no more, and to keep the flame of hope burning bright for a future where our community can flourish.
